Robert Tambini's Profile

Describing himself as a “people person,” Robert “Bob” Tambini recently left a long career as a franchise owner to become a sales associate with Salmon Real Estate.

“I had a familiarity of dealing with the public,” says Bob, who formerly owned a Pepperidge Farm Biscuit Franchise for more than 40 years. “The two businesses are very similar. You have deadlines. You have promotions and time restraints. So you hurdle those, and deal with the customers to make them happy. And then it all comes together.”

Bob said when he sought to pursue a career in real estate he was drawn to the professionalism of the Salmon Real Estate team, now headed up by Christine DeHart.

“When my wife and I were first looking to buy a house, we dealt with Salmon. They were very professional. And I always kept that in the back of my mind,” he said.

A life-long Islander who currently lives with his family in New Dorp, Bob has experience leasing warehouses in the past to store products. For this reason, he hopes to bring this expertise to commercial sales and leases.

“I have experience dealing with landlords, and know a lot about space requirements, tractor trailer requirements, and things of that nature,” he said. “I can offer knowledge of what it takes to be successful. If you have a commercial or industrial business, I can help take one less burden off your back, whether it's a property that you no longer need, or whether it is to acquire a property needed for expansion.”
